Tele-Intervention Therapy

For Infants and Toddlers with Hearing Loss
The Sound Start Babies Program offers Tele-Intervention services as a part of our award-winning program. Tele-Intervention uses technology to connect families to our professionally trained staff through video-conferencing. It is just one of the many ways that The Sound Start Babies Program helps to supports children with hearing loss, from birth to age three, and their family’s needs.

Services may include video-conferenced sessions with a Teacher of the Deaf (ToD) or Speech Pathologist, audiological support, family training, sign language education or parent coaching using LENA technology.

Tele-intervention can help reduce the following challenges:

- Distance and weather-related conditions

- Scheduling conflicts

- Involvement of extended family members

- Accessibility to information regarding hearing loss
